About The Position
As a Safety & Security Officer at The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of both guests and employees. Your primary responsibilities will include patrolling all areas of the property, assisting guests with room access, and monitoring various security systems such as Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. You will be responsible for locking property entrances when required and conducting daily physical hazard inspections to maintain a safe environment. In emergency situations, you will respond to accidents, contact EMS, or administer first aid/CPR as necessary. Your role will also involve assisting guests and employees during emergencies, notifying appropriate individuals in the event of incidents, and defusing disturbances. You will be expected to complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents and handle interruptions and complaints effectively. Additionally, you will escort unwelcome persons from the property and report to scenes of vehicle accidents or thefts, ensuring that all actions are documented accurately. You will be required to follow all company policies and procedures, report accidents and unsafe work conditions to your manager, and complete safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance is essential, as is the confidentiality of proprietary information. You will also be expected to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team goals, and comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. The role requires physical stamina, as you will need to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance. Your ability to read and visually verify information in various formats will be essential, as will your capacity to respond quickly to work situations.
