About The Position

As a Safety & Security Officer (3rd Shift) at Hyatt Vacation Club (HVC), you will assist in providing our Owners/guests with experiences and events to make memorable vacation memories, where everyone is connected by care and inclusivity. A typical day will include patrolling all areas of the property by foot or vehicle, administering first aid/CPR, ensuring security of Owner/guest and meeting rooms, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, responding to accidents, defusing disturbances, handling lost and found items, and utilizing computer systems for documentation. You will also welcome and greet guests, interact with colleagues professionally, and contribute to team goals while following company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull items that weigh up to 50lbs without assistance.
  • Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Patrols all areas of the property by foot or vehicle using specified equipment.
  • Administers first aid/CPR to Owner/guests or associates as required.
  • Ensures Owner/guest and meeting rooms are secure and assists Owner/guests with room access.
  • Monitors Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
  • Responds to the scene of Owner/guest or associate accidents and determines if emergency aid is required.
  • Defuses Owner/guest or associate disturbances/altercations following company policies and procedures.
  • Handles lost and found, logging and returning items.
  • Utilizes computer systems, prepares and reviews written documents accurately and completely.
  • Answers the phone using proper telephone etiquette.
  • Oversees OSHA & FLS violations to mitigate risks throughout the property.
  • Welcomes and greets guests and anticipates and addresses their needs.
  • Interacts with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
  • Contributes to team goals.
  • Always follows company policies and safety procedures.
