As a Safety & Security Worker, helping to maintain a safe work environment at our Distribution / Customer Fulfillment Center, you will ensure compliance with IKEA Risk Management Standards on a consistent basis via audits, follow-up, education and training and reports. You will respond to all accidents and provide basic first aid and/or CPR, perform accident investigations and complete reports, ensure building and premises security, monitor security video feeds and respond to alarms. Additionally, you will respond to various security situations including but not limited to injuries, medical events, natural disasters, theft, threats, fraud, misconduct and trespassing. You will work in partnership with the Safety and Security Manager and other unit leadership to investigate sensitive issues, intake and report injuries slip and falls, near misses and Workers Compensation incidents to the relevant partners via electronic reporting and phone systems. You will contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is strong and embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

  • Ensure compliance with IKEA Risk Management Standards via audits, follow-up, education and training.

  • Knowledge of security protocols and alarm system equipment and software monitoring.
  • Experience with investigation methodology and disaster response.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Ability to lift, sit, stand, and walk for length of shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
