About The Position

Requirements

  • Knowledge of related laws, safety requirements, and building operations for large multipurpose facilities.
  • Understanding of security, safety, occupational health and safety training methods, tools, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with security awareness programs, risk assessment, and crisis management planning.
  • Knowledge of security standards, emergency protocols, and operations of security equipment and video integration systems.
  • Proficiency in fire alarm systems monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the design, preparation, delivery, and needs assessment of safety and security training programs.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and emergency plans.
  • Assess and implement security measures and safety training based on risk analysis.
  • Determine departmental needs related to security and safety training and develop evaluation methods.
  • Develop and approve content, methods, and materials for training staff and conduct courses.
  • Conduct or assist with internal investigations.
  • Create operating plans, forecasts, and reporting systems; manage day-to-day operations.
  • Provide input into policy and strategy.
  • Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and asset-related functions.
  • Participate in the execution of intrusion detection, monitoring, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Coordinate installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of physical access control systems.
  • Become a subject matter expert for access control systems and manage related projects.
  • Select, train, schedule, coach, and direct security personnel in safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training related to property emergency procedures and bi-annual fire drills.
