About The Position
he Safety and Security Advisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at the Center. This position involves investigating accidents and incidents, conducting safety inspections, and enforcing health regulations. The advisor also monitors student behavior, provides supervision, and ensures that quality programs and services are delivered to meet student needs. The Brunswick Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology. Adams and Associates is a 100% employee-owned company that is service-focused and outcome-driven. We began as a small business formed in 1990 with the sole mission of operating at-risk youth and children's programs for local, state and federal governmental agencies. Today, we are one of the largest workforce providers involved in the federal Job Corps program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
- Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and /or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.

- Prefer Job Corps or related program experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Safety & Security Department in maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective action
- Conduct routine safety inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities
- Enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards
- Conduct and document incident and accident investigations
- Perform routine security tours and monitor student activities
- Respond to emergency situations and requests
- Manage Center security, visitor control, and student accountability
- Assist in conducting dorm inspections and searches for contraband
- Maintain cleanliness and security of Center facilities and property
