About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or successful completion of Project Search internship.
• Must be compassionate, energetic, proactive, dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Must have a high level of integrity, resourcefulness, and problem-solving ability.
• Must be able to consistently maintain confidentiality and service excellence.
• Basic computer skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of healthcare is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Screens and greets patients, visitors, vendors, and staff at hospital entrances, delivering exceptional first and last impressions of the organization.
• Maintains customer focus, safety, and service excellence standards at all times.
• Provides PPE, hand hygiene, and/or other necessary items per protocol to patients, visitors, and staff as appropriate.
• Facilitates wayfinding and escort services to ensure patients are delivered to the correct location quickly and efficiently.
• Directs visitors and vendors to specific locations.
• Utilizes appropriate chain of command to report and resolve safety and process issues.
• Empowers self and other team members by modeling the way in doing what is best for staff, patients, and their visitors and family members.
• Prioritizes patient safety and confidentiality.
• Cleans and sanitizes surfaces, equipment, and wheelchairs.
• Monitors cleanliness and restocks supplies as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
