About The Position

The position involves overseeing food safety protocols within retail food service establishments, ensuring rigorous implementation of sanitation procedures. The role includes conducting routine inspections to evaluate compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and state and local regulations. Detailed reports based on inspections will be prepared, along with recommendations for corrective actions to maintain optimal food safety standards. The candidate will also be responsible for educating staff members on food safety protocols and conducting thorough investigations into product quality and compliance matters. Leadership in food safety training sessions and establishing partnerships with regulatory bodies are key components of the role. The position requires providing expert guidance and recommending corrective measures to enhance safety standards.

Requirements

  • Possess Food Safety Management Certification.
  • Minimum of two years of proven expertise in food safety practices.
  • Knowledge in retail food service operations is a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge in food safety (Retail Food Code) is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
