Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Davenport Function: Environment, Health, Safety (CA) Title: Safety Professional - 119391 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Safety Professional for JD Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA, you will: Compiles necessary data, documentation and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) requirements Conducts safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with John Deere standards, processes and applicable laws and regulations Participate in incident investigations and ergonomic reviews and assist in determining effective corrective action Communicates results of analysis and interpretation to appropriate work group for awareness and any required action Develops, directs and conducts safety presentations and training Participate in the reviews of new products, equipment and processes for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards Utilizes acquired knowledge to respond to both internal and external questions / requests for information relevant to safety and health issues VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Requirements

  • Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Has a general understanding of ergonomic and industrial hygiene principles
  • Has a general understanding of incident investigation and injury and illness reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance
  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree
  • Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Occupational Health and Safety profession in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing operation, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering environment

Responsibilities
