About The Position

Technica is seeking a Safety Officer for support on Fort Bliss, TX Description: Must comply with applicable federal and state laws and enforce safety regulations. Compile and submit weekly status reports. Versed in local and state OSHA safety requirements also a plus. Must be available to work long shifts in adverse conditions (heat, rain, nights and weekends) as required to meet contract deliverables. Complete inspection checks on work performed in all of our facilities. Fire and safety inspections in all facilities that we maintain. Building inspections for deficiencies in all of our facilities. Personnel tool inventory to be performed quarterly with all our technicians. Process auditing to ensure that processes are being kept in alignment with our SOP. Fleet vehicle safety inspections performed monthly to ensure all employees are safe. Inspections of all SAP locations. Ability to perform incident investigations and fill out proper documents. Must be able to acquire PPE quotes to include ordering

Requirements

US Citizen
High school diploma or equivalent
18 years of age
Valid state driver's license
Must submit to pass a DHS Position of Public Trust Background Investigation
Must be able to read and write English and be able to understand procedures.
Must have 5 years in experience in safety and environment.
Must be able to communicate the English language effectively, both orally and written.
Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations.
Ability to process and identify code violations.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
Ability to do scheduled after hours duty.
Ability to complete OSHA 300 Log.
Must be able to work with others and be professional at times.

Nice To Haves
