Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Two years of experience in occupational safety and health programs.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and courteously in compliance with traffic laws.
• Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal occupational safety and health laws and regulations.
• Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate safety and health programs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of conducting noise monitoring using appropriate testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation services according to the consultation policy and procedure manual and the OSHCON Program Resource Guide.
• Conduct on-site consultations to identify occupational hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare reports of findings and recommendations using the OSHA Information System.
• Provide formal and informal training on safety hazards in the workplace.
• Promote the OSHCON program through presentations and participation in committees and workshops.
• Assist in training and orientation for new OSHCON consultants.
