In this role, you will apply safety and occupational health laws, regulations, and principles to advise management on technical matters regarding occupational safety and health issues. You will assist with safety and health training programs, communication, presentations, records management, project planning, and data analysis. Your responsibilities will include drafting safety and health communications, materials, and briefs for managers, as well as compiling and preparing a variety of recurring reports as directed by your supervisor. You will develop recommendations for remedial actions when safety policies are not met and inspect facilities and projects to identify and correct potential hazards, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Additionally, you will complete and maintain documented safety observations from regular hazard identification audits and assist in planning and conducting safety and health inspections and surveys of the workplace to ensure compliance with EHS regulations. You will prepare or assist supervisors in preparing materials for safety meetings, ensuring the preparation of graphs, charts, and other informational materials pertaining to accident trends and other aspects of the safety program. Lastly, you will maintain inventory supply and prepare purchase requests.
