About The Position

The Safety Manager is responsible for guiding and directing the planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees. This role serves as a local safety advocate, engaging employees in the Safety Program to achieve continuous improvement and expense reduction.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience; occupational safety/industrial health education preferred.
• CSP or CHST Certification strongly preferred.
• Five years of work experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in an aviation or airport environment.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA, EPA, ISAGO, SMS, and DOT standards.
• Strong leadership and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to analyze data and produce reports for senior management.
• Proven success in developing and implementing safety procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of Safety and Compliance experience

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and direction for safety policies and procedures.
• Engage local employees in the Safety Program.
• Achieve continuous improvement and expense reduction in safety practices.
• Implement the Safety Management System (SMS) for the station.
• Maintain Quality Assurance oversight for operational issues relating to performance and safety.
• Analyze various types of data and produce reports for senior management.
• Develop, train, and implement safety procedures and best practices.
• Conduct presentations, training, and facilitation on safety topics.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
