About The Position

The Safety Manager will develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization. In addition, the Safety Manager role will be responsible for providing proactive leadership and expertise that promotes our safety culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Industrial Risk Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in safety or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of company safety & environmental regulations and policies, as well as applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
  • High-level analytical, problem-solving & organizational skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to train and motivate others to champion health and safety success
  • Be self-motivated and possess excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Can easily work both independently and as a team player with internal and external parties
  • An ability to effectively communicate and understand the needs of others, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the company

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain OSHA reporting and compliance documentation
  • Oversee customer-specific safety requirements, reporting, training, and safety agreements
  • Maintain and update the company Safety Manual; facilitate related employee training
  • Lead and enhance Safety Training programs in collaboration with the Brabazon Service team
  • Prepare, schedule, and conduct training on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other key topics
  • Serve as SDS (Safety Data Sheet) Administrator
  • Manage near-miss, incident reporting, and worker’s compensation processes
  • Coordinate Post-Offer Functional Testing
  • Conduct and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
  • Oversee PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) programs and equipment inspections
  • Manage safety compliance for subcontractors
  • Administer and deliver training on the company’s driver safety program
  • Proactively identify, recommend, and implement improvements to health and safety procedures and training across the organization
  • Monitor company-wide compliance with established safety procedures and regulations
