Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Safety Manager or Safety Professional in a construction environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to split time effectively between field and office responsibilities
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proven experience as a Safety manager or Safety professional in Commercial Construction Industry
  • OSHA 30 (minimum baseline)

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 500 certification (highly preferred)
  • CHST, CSP, or other advanced safety certifications
  • Experience working on commercial construction jobsites

Responsibilities

  • Champion a company-wide commitment to zero injuries and continuous improvement
  • Serve as the primary safety authority across both field and office operations
  • Partner with project teams, foremen, and leadership to enforce and elevate safety standards
  • Promote accountability while recognizing and reinforcing safe work practices
  • Lead new hire OSHA and safety onboarding, ensuring every employee is jobsite-ready
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs (fall protection, hazard analysis, equipment safety, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate records of training, certifications, and compliance documentation
  • Conduct routine and unannounced jobsite inspections
  • Observe crews in real-time and proactively correct unsafe behaviors
  • Attend preconstruction meetings, job start-ups, and safety briefings
  • Collaborate with GCs and customer safety teams to ensure alignment
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective actions on the spot
  • Prepare and manage safety submittals, site-specific plans, and compliance documentation
  • Handle jobsite incident reporting, injury claims, and investigations
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans
  • Track safety metrics and report trends to leadership
  • Ensure OSHA compliance across all projects and operations
  • Maintain and enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies
  • Oversee PPE programs, inspections, and distribution
  • Ensure all jobs meet safety requirements from preconstruction through completion
  • Stay current on regulatory updates and industry best practices
