About The Position

This position provides full-time safety oversight for the construction of a new approximately 21,000 SF service center in Eagle Pass, TX. The project includes office space, warehouse space, vehicle parking and maintenance areas, a storage shed, wash bay, and a fully paved yard with fencing, lighting, gates, and utility storage. The Safety Manager will work closely with field crews, project leadership, and subcontractors to proactively identify hazards, enforce safe work practices, and support day-to-day construction activities. This opportunity is with a company known for a strong culture of promoting safety internally from the field level up.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 required
  • Current First Aid/CPR and AED certification required
  • Bilingual required or strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant safety and/or operations experience required, or degree in a safety-related field with 2+ years of experience
  • Incident investigation training and hands-on experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of construction safety standards and field-based safety practices
  • Strong field presence and ability to influence safe work practices
  • Comfortable working in active construction environments
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and hazard mitigation capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with project leadership
  • Ability to support a proactive safety culture on site
  • Strong working knowledge of construction safety standards and hazard recognition
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and field presence
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced construction environments
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions proactively
  • Experience supporting site compliance and incident investigation processes
  • Expertise in OSHA construction standards, field safety oversight, hazard mitigation, incident investigation, and safe execution of construction activities across active project environments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily safety operations for construction activities on site
  • Enforce OSHA standards, site safety programs, and client safety protocols
  • Conduct site orientations, safety inspections, and audits
  • Monitor field personnel and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safe work practices
  • Support incident investigations, near miss reporting, and corrective action follow-up
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Coordinate with project leadership and field teams to mitigate hazards and maintain safe work conditions
  • Promote a strong safety culture through consistent field engagement and communication
