About The Position

Lippert Mechanical is seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager to lead and enhance our safety programs across assigned business units. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting field operations through training, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in both field and office environments and is passionate about creating safe, compliant, and high-performing job sites.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2–5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in construction, HVAC, or mechanical environments
  • OSHA 30 Certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • CHST, CSP, and/or First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Champion a company-wide safety culture by working closely with employees at all levels
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, programs, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and all federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • Conduct regular job site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain accurate safety records, including OSHA logs and incident documentation
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual safety reports
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing education
  • Organize and facilitate safety committee meetings and follow up on action items
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related questions, concerns, and regulatory inquiries
  • Support PPE evaluation, selection, and compliance
  • Assist with permits and required regulatory reporting
  • Collaborate with project teams, customers, and vendors to ensure safety requirements are met
