About The Position

Lippert Mechanical is seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager to lead and enhance our safety programs across assigned business units. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting field operations through training, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in both field and office environments and is passionate about creating safe, compliant, and high-performing job sites.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or GED required
2–5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in construction, HVAC, or mechanical environments
OSHA 30 Certification required

Nice To Haves

Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
CHST, CSP, and/or First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

Champion a company-wide safety culture by working closely with employees at all levels
Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, programs, and procedures
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and all federal, state, and local safety regulations
Conduct regular job site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Maintain accurate safety records, including OSHA logs and incident documentation
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual safety reports
Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing education
Organize and facilitate safety committee meetings and follow up on action items
Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related questions, concerns, and regulatory inquiries
Support PPE evaluation, selection, and compliance
Assist with permits and required regulatory reporting
Collaborate with project teams, customers, and vendors to ensure safety requirements are met
