The EHS Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day environmental, health, and safety support to operations within their assigned region. This includes coaching and mentoring field teams, helping leadership implement safety systems, and ensuring a consistent, practical approach to risk management. This role partners closely with operations to build a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The EHS Manager also plays a key role in site visits, training, incident response, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of safety performance.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in safety, environmental, or risk management roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards and practical field safety principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and influence others
  • Comfortable working in outdoor, hands-on environments with a wide range of teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and safety reporting systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to crews, supervisors, and company leaders within the assigned region
  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of the company’s Safety Management System
  • Conduct safety assessments, risk evaluations, and compliance reviews at facilities and job sites
  • Guide operational teams in the application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices
  • Assist with the review and follow-up of incidents and near misses, including root cause identification and corrective action tracking
  • Facilitate or support safety training sessions, tailgate talks, and onboarding program
  • Promote engagement with safety initiatives and help local leaders build ownership of safety practices
  • Routinely visit jobsites and facilities to provide coaching, observe operations, and reinforce safety expectations
  • Lead or participate in field safety meetings, including daily or weekly briefings and hazard discussions
  • Conduct field safety observations and behavior-based coaching interactions
  • Serve as a point of contact for regional and company leaders regarding safety topics or concerns
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify gaps, share best practices, and drive improvement
  • Partner with company leadership to ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained
