Safety Manager - Columbus, OH
About The Position
This position provides full-time safety oversight for the construction of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution facility in Columbus, OH. The Safety Manager will support a large-scale, ground-up build involving complex construction activities within a highly regulated environment. The role requires close coordination with project leadership, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific safety protocols. Responsibilities include hazard identification, enforcement of safe work practices, conducting inspections, supporting safety meetings, and maintaining safety documentation throughout all phases of construction.
Requirements
- OSHA 510 Required
- First Aid/CPR Certification Required
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial construction environments
- Previous safety management experience on construction projects
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
- Ability to manage safety programs in fast-paced, multi-contractor environments
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with inspections, incident investigations, and safety documentation
