About The Position

Safety Manager - Manufacturing & Construction Position Summary Platinum Global Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Safety Manager is responsible for directing, implementing, and strengthening all Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives within a fast‑paced on‑site manufacturing and construction environment. This role provides proactive safety leadership, ensuring production teams, trade partners, and subcontractors maintain the highest level of compliance with federal and state regulations while fostering a culture where safety is integrated into every operational decision. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on safety professional with strong influence, technical rigor, and proven experience driving incident reduction and regulatory excellence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated EHS leadership experience within manufacturing and/or construction environments.
  • Deep working knowledge of OSHA regulations and proven ability to interpret, apply, and train teams on compliance requirements.
  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience (3+ years in construction safety) will be considered.
  • CHST certification required or willingness to obtain within two years.
  • OSHA 30‑Hour certification required.
  • Strong ability to lead, influence, and partner with cross‑functional teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and incident‑prevention skills.

Responsibilities

  • Champion all EHS programs by delivering ongoing training, coaching, and enforcement of safe work practices across manufacturing and construction operations.
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor compliance, including reviewing site‑specific safety plans, leading toolbox talks, and verifying daily adherence to safety expectations.
  • Conduct routine inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits; lead PTP (Pre‑Task Plan) meetings and support pre‑construction safety planning efforts.
  • Evaluate and enforce compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, as well as owner‑specific safety standards.
  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics, identify trends, and drive corrective action plans to continuously reduce incidents and improve safety outcomes.
  • Administer site drug and alcohol screening protocols in alignment with company policy and regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate closely with production and operational leadership to embed safety into processes, decision‑making, and team behaviors.
