About The Position

This assignment provides full-time, on-site safety support for a mechanical contractor supporting multiple Amazon data center projects in the Columbus, Ohio area. The Safety Manager will oversee construction safety activities with a primary focus on mechanical scopes, ensuring safe work practices are consistently followed across active data center sites.

Requirements

• OSHA 510
• First Aid, CPR, AED
• Minimum 5+ years of field construction safety experience
• Mechanical construction experience, required
• Fall protection and confined space training
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

• Data center construction experience, highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent on-site field presence during active construction operations
• Monitor mechanical work activities for compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety standards
• Identify, communicate, and assist in correcting unsafe conditions or behaviors
• Conduct job hazard analyses, safety orientations, and toolbox talks
• Complete daily safety documentation and required reports
• Participate in site safety meetings and coordination efforts
• Support incident prevention, investigations, and continuous safety improvement initiatives
