About The Position
The Safety Manager will provide on-site safety oversight for an electrical contractor working on a large-scale data center project. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, client standards, and site-specific safety protocols. Key focus areas include: Overseeing electrical construction activities and contractor safety performance Conducting site inspections, hazard assessments, and daily safety meetings Monitoring energized work and ensuring proper lockout/tagout procedures Enforcing PPE, housekeeping, and safe work practices Coordinating with project management to maintain a proactive safety culture
Requirements
- Must have experience working directly with electrical contractors
- BCSP Certification (CHST, CSP, or equivalent) required
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening through HammerTech
- Strong understanding of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards
- Proficiency in electrical safety programs and NFPA 70E compliance
- Ability to communicate and lead effectively in field environments
- Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior safety management experience on construction projects preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus, but not mandatory
