About The Position
Construction Safety Manager Location: Chantilly, VA-Dulles Airport Duration: 12+ Months (Start: 4/20) Type: 1099 Contractor Job Details Hourly Rate: $57/HR Per Diem: No perdiem Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay: Weekly Schedule: 40-50 Hours a week. Mon-Fri (weekends as needed) Project Scope The construction safety manager will oversee the safety for a subcontractor on a terminal build at Washington Dulles Airport Qualifications Must have: BCSP Cert with 5 years of construction safety OR OSHA 510 with 10 years of consturction safety They expect the safety person to help shape the safety program.
Requirements
- BCSP Cert with 5 years of construction safety OR OSHA 510 with 10 years of consturction safety
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
- Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
- Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Nice To Haves
- OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
- Monitor OSHA compliance
- Upload documentation into Procore
- Daily safety reports
- Track workforce safety compliance
- Maintain safety logs and compliance records
- Fall protection enforcement (CRITICAL priority)
- Provide safety training as needed
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
