About The Position

SkillsetGroup is seeking a Safety Manager to work in the city of Gardena, CA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. This role involves conducting training sessions on topics such as GMP, PPE, forklift operation, and other safety protocols, while driving initiatives to improve safety practices across all departments. The Safety Manager oversees OSHA compliance, manages Workers’ Compensation cases, and ensures adherence to industry regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with the entire operation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and presentations. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and bilingual proficiency is essential for effective communication in a diverse workforce. This will be a 1st shift (WITH flexibility) position and a Direct Hire opportunity.

Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience minimum as a Safety Manager or will look at Safety Supervisor ready for the next steps with 10+ years' experience.
• OSHA Experience/Background
• HIGH Experience with Workers Compensation
• Able to improve Safety within all departments.
• Able to conduct employee / department training (Pallet Jack, Forklift, GMP, PPE, etc.)
• Highly organized & able to familiarize themselves with the whole Operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Presentations, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• STRONGLY prefer a Bilingual individual.
