Requirements

  • 7-10 years of related work experience in construction safety.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • OSHA 500 certification.
  • OSHA 510 certification.
  • ASP through the BCSP.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and report to the Senior Safety Manager.
  • Has the authority to STOP work in an area to remedy a serious or life-threatening safety deficiency.
  • Identify training needs for project team. Provide training, including OSHA 10 hour courses.
  • Monitor and enforce the requirements of the project specific safety plan, safety manual, applicable federal and/or state OSHA standards, and any owner specific requirements.
  • Conduct incident investigations with superintendent(s) and prepare written reports for the Safety Director.
  • Assist the project Senior Superintendent in the development and periodic review of the Project Specific Safety Plan, Emergency Action Plan and other safety pre-planning tools.
  • Assist the Senior Safety Manager and/or Safety Director with maintaining statistical data for incidents, trends and cause factors and provide recommendations for program improvement.
  • Supervise the Safety Coordinators assigned to your jobs and assist them as necessary. Provide guidance for their professional development and training.
  • Responsible for facilitating early return to full duty work responsibilities for injured workers.
  • Monitor site safety inspections in Procore for frequency, accuracy and validation. Report findings on a weekly basis to Senior Project Superintendent and Senior Safety Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
