About The Position
Custom Concrete is looking for a hardworking, dedicated person to join our team as a Safety Manager. The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state safety and health regulations. In this role, you will work closely with the Corporate Safety Director to implement best practices and company policies across all divisions of the organization. Your primary focus will be to promote safety awareness through meetings and training, providing accessible safety resources and support to all personnel, and ensuring accountability to the safety program. As a Safety Manager, you will identify hazards and develop mitigation tactics while understanding and complying with federal and state occupational safety and health regulations. You will monitor regulatory changes and conduct audits, safety training, and ensure compliance with laws. Investigating accidents and promoting near-miss reporting will also be part of your responsibilities. You will prepare reports on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) matters, including risk assessment findings, and manage OSHA compliance efforts, including maintaining OSHA 300 logs, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fire Prevention, and Lift Truck Operation. This position requires the ability to operate a smartphone and tablet to generate appropriate reports using a computer. You will need to work in various weather conditions, climb in and out of basement excavations, and perform tasks in wet and muddy conditions. It is essential to ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed at all times.
