About The Position

The Safety Manager at Memphis City Cartage, LLC is responsible for overseeing safety and compliance within the transportation sector. Requirements

• 5 years of experience in DOT safety and compliance (preferred).
• 5 years of experience with HOS regulations (preferred).
• 5 years of experience with SAMSARA (preferred).
• 5 years of experience with GEOTAB (preferred).
• 5 years of experience with log audits (preferred).
• 5 years of experience with DOT regulations (preferred).
• 5 years of experience in transportation management (preferred).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for all safety issues within the company.
• Conduct weekly audits of drivers' HOS and E-logs.
• Document, file, and track drivers to maintain qualification processes per DOT/FMCSA standards.
• Ensure compliance with all company and DOT regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct accident investigations and manage the insurance claim process.
• Ensure inspections are performed on all trucks and educate/train drivers on safety regulations.
• Attend conferences and seminars to stay updated on laws and regulations.
• Implement and manage the driver safety program.
• Provide technical input and insight into regulatory requirements for other departments.
• Identify training needs and conduct proactive safety-related training.
• Administer discipline for safety-related violations.
• Identify technologies to improve safety and recruiting operations.
