About The Position

Develop and implement safety initiatives and interactive safety programs, partnering with Operations to address safety concerns. Documentation (accidents, safety events, corrective action - warnings or probations, verbal conversations or emails, observations, positives) Develop relationships with drivers in order to educate them on our culture and values. Perform road tests with drivers and remedial evaluations and trainings. Full understanding of FMCSA regulations, safety policies, and safety equipment in the truck to include Drive Cam, Elogs, Crash Avoidance, etc. Run daily safety reports to ensure our drivers comply with federal and state regulations and company policies. Develop content and present material at quarterly driver meetings. Monitor and report KPI’s to the operation and communicates safety needs. Collaborate and coach to improve KPIs. Maintain on-going communication and positive working relationships with our vendors. Coach and mentor drivers. Conduct on-site visits to local customer locations to serve as a visible safety presence and coach.   • Associate degree (preferred)
  • Two or more years of transportation experience, to include experience in either Operations or Safety
  • CDL or (willingness to obtain through company sponsorship)
