Position Responsibilities Assist in conducting safety inspections of facilities to detect existing or potential accident or health hazards and determination follow up measures. Participate in accident and incident investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions. Help maintain chemical inventory and SDS system. Create safety reports and training materials. Participate in monthly safety meetings for operations employees. Create Job Hazard Analysis for new processes, equipment, and contractor work. Develop a working knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations. Assist in tracking monthly safety performance metrics and report on outcomes. Help develop or revise safety procedures and policies. Assist in researching safety requirements for new processes or equipment. Assist in providing first aid and transport for employees if medical care is needed. Coordinate meetings and maintain schedules. Provide support to the safety manager by actively participating in special projects and assignments.
