About The Position

Wood is currently searching for a talented Safety Intern to support our Operations business focusing on chemical manufacturing facilities and small capital projects. This opportunity is onsite in Narrows, VA, and expected to be 10-12 weeks. #LI-Onsite The Role The Safety Inter will assist safety coordination, compliance audits, and safety reporting across office and field activities while driving continuous improvement through lessons learned; building strong relationships with teams and clients, ensuring timely communication and strict adherence to company safety policies. Requirements

  • Working on bachelor’s degree in a Safety related field
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily safety coordination
  • Assist with compliance audits to ensure adherence to Celanese corporate and site safety standards
  • Assist with the coordination of safety documentation and reporting across office and field operations
  • Contribute to lessons learned exercises
  • Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner
  • Comply with all company policies including safety policies.
