About The Position

Coeur Mining is a U.S.-based, well-diversified, growing, precious metals producer with four wholly-owned operations: the Palmarejo gold-silver complex in Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska and the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota. In addition, the Company wholly-owns the Silvertip silver-zinc-lead exploration project in British Columbia. Coeur Rochester is an open pit, heap leach silver and gold operation. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Occupational Safety and Health or Industrial Hygiene or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA 2.5, preferred GPA 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the country of hire without requiring current or future sponsorship for employment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Eager to demonstrate leadership potential, strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work individually and within a team.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Pursing a Bachelor's degree in related field to internship.
  • Participate in a summer internship program to gain real-world, on-the-job experience.
  • Work creatively and technically with other interns to create a group presentation highlighting a company area of improvement.
  • Travel for an expenses paid trip to Chicago to present the project and network with company leaders.
