About The Position

As a Safety, Health & Wellbeing Partner , you’ll be the trusted first point of contact supporting our centres and people leaders with timely, practical advice that keeps our people safe, supported and well. Working in a purpose-driven organisation, you’ll help turn complex safety requirements into clear, confident action that makes a real difference every day.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding and practical application of Workplace Health & Safety legislation
  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Experience providing safety advice in a complex, people-focused environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate policy into clear, user-friendly guidance
  • High attention to detail with strong case management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a social enterprise, education or health setting (highly regarded)
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education (desirable, not essential)

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for Safety, Health and Wellbeing enquiries across Goodstart
  • Provide clear, practical and timely advice aligned to policies, procedures and legislation
  • Support and coordinate incident management and investigations, gathering accurate information and engaging internal specialists
  • Ensure legislative compliance, including reporting, notifications and maintaining key registers
  • Help Goodstarters understand safety requirements by making the complex simple
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying trends, themes and opportunities to strengthen safety outcomes
  • Build positive, respectful relationships that reinforce safety as part of being a Goodstarter
