About The Position

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Director with specific experience in Sports/Stadium construction to join our team! This position will ensure the construction workforce is productively safe by continuously implementing, evaluating, and monitoring health and safety protocols and implementing Construction Safety Management systems and strategies to control and mitigate workplace safety risk. In addition, the role assists the ES&H Director in the formulation and administration of the company's environmental safety and health policies and programs for the home office and field operations. The position also involves supervising all ES&H activities, selecting related personnel, planning and conducting training for project personnel, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, inspections, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations. The director will represent the company on technical and professional committees and assist in local, State, Federal, and industrial standards, codes, or regulatory formation.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Occupational Safety or relevant curriculum.
  • 10 years of construction safety experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Construction Management or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in safety in the construction of stadiums, sports arenas or sports facilities.
  • Experience in construction exceeding $300MM.
  • OSHA 500 certification.
  • CHST/CSP certification.
  • Construction safety leadership experience.
  • Experience with OSIP/CSIP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
