Position Summary The Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) Manager position supports Buckman North America by ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental, and hazardous materials transportation requirements across NA Operations with primary focus on the Memphis site. Actively leads or participates in sustainability efforts and manages SHE compliance, training, inspections, recordkeeping, and reporting. This professional is a key part of the overall site leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field
  • 4-6 years Job Related Experience
  • More than 5 years occupational health, safety & environmental experience in chemical or similar industry
  • More than 5 years’ experience with SHE Direct Reports
  • Knowledge of basic chemistry
  • Experience in computer systems needed to support SHE and the overall business.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of Safety, Health, and Environmental Systems
  • Manage Contractor Approval, Authorization and Training
  • Ensure Compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental Regulations
  • Support of S/H/E Programs, Community Council, and CI Initiatives
  • Ensures Specific Compliance with Hazardous Materials Transportation Requirements
  • Maintain ISO certifications and system excellence
