About The Position

Scot Forge Company is looking to hire 2 Safety Interns, one in each Spring Grove, IL and Clinton, WI locations. This Co-Op is available from June 2026 to December 2026. A Safety Co-Op at Scot Forge will offer a student the opportunity to practice occupational safety theory in a real-world setting.

Requirements

• Enrolled in Bachelor or Master degree program in Occupational Safety or Environmental Engineering, Junior standing or above
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of Safety & Environmental regulations and safety management principle
• Ability to recognize problems/ hazards, analyze them, and offer solutions using proven safety/ incident investigation analysis tools

Responsibilities

• Administering the safety management system to ensure a safe work environment
• Help to improve safety metrics including the coordination of programs to prevent incidents
• Learn safety practices and principles of a manufacturing environment
• Deliver a formal presentation to leadership on key project accomplishments
• Update policies, procedures and records
