About The Position

Implements the SOCS Safety, Health and Quality Assurance (QA) Program, Emergency Response Procedures, and Environmental Policy, including Energy and Water Conservation directives. Ensures a strong safety culture throughout the workforce, including managers at all levels. Manages the continuous improvement program. Support NASA VPP Star Status. Ensure Zero Harm Program is maintained. Performs assessments on Reliability and QA implementation. LCAT compliance verification. Manages the day-to-day operation of a segment of the organization or functional area of the contract and may assist in program management responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities include formulating and enforcing work standards, managing daily operations, establishing policies and work rules, monitoring activities, and planning the use of materials and resources. Responsible for personnel productivity, performance, and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, industrial, safety and health, or related field.
  • 6 years in a lead or supervisor role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years experience may substitute for the degree.
  • OSHA 30 Certified.
  • Emergency Medical Training.
  • ICS certifications.
  • 15+ years of related operational/industrial safety experience in heavy infrastructure.
  • Proven hurricane and disaster preparation and response experience.
  • Proven people-first/safety-first mindset.
  • Proven ability to create an open and collaborative safety environment free of fear and intimidation.
