About The Position

The position involves performing routine daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of fire suppression and control systems within Arconic. The individual will respond to fire alarms and fires at locations within the facility, as well as medical emergencies, and may perform drug and alcohol screenings on injured employees. The role requires collaboration with Arconic leadership to promote a safe work environment and involves providing basic emergency care according to approved policies and procedures. Additionally, the position includes providing technical support to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Current paramedic or emergency medical technician advanced (EMT-A) certificate to practice in Tennessee.
  • Experience with fire detection and control systems preferred.
  • Experience in an emergency medicine setting preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Proof of auto insurance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage.
  • CPR and AED certification required.
  • CPR and First Aid Instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of fire suppression and control systems.
  • Respond to fire alarms and fires within the facility.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and perform drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Promote a safe work environment in collaboration with Arconic leadership.
  • Provide basic emergency care according to approved policies.
  • Provide technical support to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Cut keys and core locks as per site system.
  • Remove lock-out/tag-out locks according to procedures.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual fire inspections.
  • Evaluate areas for fire potential prior to hot work activities.
  • Manage department of Homeland Security inventory.
  • Operate all gates and complete annual testing requirements.
  • Support environmental response processes to spills and issues.
  • Fill in for specific Safety and Emergency Response Specialist (II) duties when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
