About The Position

The Environment, Health, and Safety Director at Schlossmann's Honda City is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations within the facility. This role involves conducting inspections, training employees, maintaining safety documentation, and collaborating with various agencies to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience of 5+ years in environmental, health, and safety roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations and policies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in working with OSHA, DNR, and EPA.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or related designation helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the facility to identify compliance, safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Conduct new employee safety training, including all OSHA required topics.
  • Ensure all certifications are up to date and current.
  • Certify and train all future forklift operators and retrain as needed.
  • Document health and safety and compliance procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Conduct environmental inspections and submit reports to local agencies.
  • Complete respiratory training and fit testing for new hires in the body shop.
  • Prepare and schedule training to cover emergency procedures and workplace safety.
  • Monitor and document compliance and safety procedures.
  • Conduct formal monthly safety inspections and informal weekly inspections.
  • Develop solutions to address safety issues discovered during inspections.
  • Ensure that Safety Data Sheets are maintained and readily accessible.
  • Maintain records and work with federal, state, and municipal agencies as required.
  • Investigate all accidents to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Update OSHA accident logs and post summaries as needed.
  • Work on all Insurance Claims until resolution.
  • Conduct ongoing annual OSHA required training for all employees.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Full-time position with competitive salary range of $93.1K - $118K per year.
