About The Position

We are a growing commercial roofing company specializing in high-quality roof installations and exceptional customer service. We take pride in maintaining a strong safety culture across all our job sites. As our company expands, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Safety Director to lead and enhance our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program. The Safety Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory standards. This position plays a key role in protecting employees, managing compliance, and fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the company.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in safety management, preferably in commercial roofing or construction
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
• OSHA 30 certification required
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Experience conducting safety training and investigations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulations
• Prepare and maintain OSHA 300 and 300A logs and related reports
• Create job-specific safety plans, JSAs, and hazard assessments
• Serve as the first point of contact for all incidents, including injuries, auto accidents, and property damage
• Investigate incidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures
• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits
• Lead safety training programs and new hire safety orientations
• Recommend and implement improvements to reduce workplace hazards
• Maintain safety documentation, including training records and compliance reports
• Manage incident reporting, workers’ compensation cases, and insurance communications
• Complete and maintain safety prequalification forms for customers and third-party portals
• Keep customer and compliance portals up to date with safety data and certifications
