The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that their plant has a highly functioning Safety program and for maintaining, updating, and continuously improving the facilities training program for compliance with federal safety regulations, state laws, and corporate policies. RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: Within the company, the Safety Coordinator should have the ability to interpret corporate guidelines and turn them into actionable plans at their site. They should also have the ability to ascertain trends in the safety culture that should be addressed from a plant level and suggest ideas for the corporate level. Externally, the Safety Coordinator should be prepared to implement actions to maintain compliance with changing the Federal, State, and Local regulations.
