About The Position

Report directly to the Safety Manager Location: Pendergrass, GA Travel: 0% expected Ensure the workplace meets local, state and federal safety standards Conduct regular safety audits of work areas, equipment, and processes to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions Coordinate and lead employee training sessions Lead and support investigations for workplace safety incidents, accidents, or near misses Lead and support root cause problem solving meetings and corrective action implementation Assist with monthly safety committee meetings Assist with company safety policy updates and program reform Lead and support safety improvement projects Assist with annual safety program performance reviews

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Basic understanding and experience with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Standards
  • Knowledgeable of basic software applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in public speaking situations with over 150+ people.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate ideas and projects with cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or other related fields of study is preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant safety experience in industrial or warehouse settings is preferred
  • Completion of OSHA-30 is preferred
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) Certification is preferred
