We value our employees as professionals. Summary of Duties At Maxair Mechanical, Safety Supervisors are the leaders on the front line for our Safety Team. As a Safety Supervisor, you will visit job sites, perform audits, and provide safety training in support of construction and service field operations. A Safety Supervisor must be a self-starter, well organized, and able to manage their time across multiple job sites and internal projects. Every interaction is a chance to represent Maxair Mechanical’s safety culture and an effective Safety Supervisor must have a high level of integrity and tact to get buy in from their audience. Additional duties may be assigned by management. Reports to Maxair Mechanical’s Safety Manager. Location This position will be based out of Maxair Mechanical’s headquarters in Marietta, GA. Applicants will be required to travel to Maxair Mechanical job sites, facilities, and client sites primarily in the metro Atlanta area and occasionally in the greater Southeast region.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Occupational Environmental Health and Safety, or equivalent.
  • OR sufficient OSHA Training Institute training (500, 501, etc.)
  • OR sufficient field safety experience and knowledge requisite with a practicing safety professional.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in a position where occupational safety was the primary job responsibility.
  • Robust knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to get worker buy in as part of a successful safety culture.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with safety management software.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in a drug free workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • CHST preferred, or ability to obtain CHST during first year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Champion Maxair Mechanical’s safety culture in everything that you do.
  • Conduct regular job site safety audits for all company projects, sites, and facilities.
  • Coach Maxair Mechanical employees on how to improve safety performance.
  • Perform Incident Investigations and Root Cause Analysis on an as needed basis.
  • Provide safety specific training on a regular and as needed basis.
  • Recommend safety best practices in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the further development of Maxair Mechanical’s Safety System.
  • Additional responsibilities may be provided by management.
