About The Position
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the handling of the accident and illness program, conducting hazard and risk analyses, and ensuring that all occupational safety and health tasks are completed as scheduled and required. This role involves submitting regular reports on the status of safety and health to senior management and working with management to help them understand the various roles and activities in the safety and health management system. The Safety Coordinator will also assist with the Workers' Compensation Program and act as an advisor to senior management, supervisors, and the Occupational Health Department as needed. The position requires collaboration with the Plant Safety Committee and assistance with the implementation of new safety and health management systems.
