The Pratt & Whitney Airfoil & Isothermal Forge Module Center is looking for a Maintenance Safety Coordinator Technician to provide support to develop and support safety for manufacturing operations for the disk and blades businesses.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED; Vocational Training.
  • Current forge maintenance technician. Level 02, 01 or 00.
  • Strong technical work background.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong organizational, communication and social skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint proficient preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and social communication skills highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform personal choice interventions before high-risk work and daily task as needed.
  • Collect completed forms, log data and maintain risk-analysis databases.
  • Have oversite to Confined Space entries and validate procedures/permits are being completed correctly.
  • Conduct Risk Assessment and update JHA’s etc.
  • Deliver specialized Safety training as needed for maintenance team members.
  • Support both Disks and Blades Maintenance Teams.
  • Perform Lock Out/ Tag Out audits and conduct annual LOTO assessments.
  • Oversee Elevated work and assist in PPE selection or job evaluation as required.
  • Perform data entry and utilize the EHS SMART safety management database as needed.
  • Conduct Safety-related area inspections and support site EHS staff with corrective actions concerning maintenance activities.
  • Provide input and collaboration with site EHS to update and continuously improve key safety programs within Columbus.
