About The Position

Ideal Safety Clerk will aid in all aspects of Safety Department operations and continue to make our safety culture world class.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent computer skills, preferably in Microsoft Office suite
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years clerical experience
• Experience with regulatory environment

Nice To Haves

• OHSA 10-Hour Course Completion
• CPR, AED, First-Aid Certification
• Degree in administrative field

Responsibilities

• Safety Training assistance – scheduling, preparation, auditing, tracking, reporting, and distribution of materials
• Safety equipment assistance (new hires & others) – lockout locks/tags, fall protection equipment, etc.
• Safety Calendar – assistance with tracking initiatives status
• Hazard Communication Program assistance – SDS database and chemical inventories management.
• Safety Committee management – coordinate each plant’s committee and monthly topics.
• Safety Coaching leadership – mentor and support all plant-level safety coaches with plant and division-specific safety initiatives and tasks
• Incident Management System (IMS) assistance (incident tracking, reports, etc.)
• Safety Audits (internal and external) assistance w/ prep & response
• Contractor Management assistance (Marsh, ISNetworld, hours, etc.)
• Worker’s Comp assistance
• Communications assistance (Safety Alerts, Toolbox Talks, etc.)
• Support all safety personnel with division-specific safety initiatives and programs
