Serve as a Safety Basis Review Subject Matter Expert (SME) and perform Documented Safety Analysis (part-time 600 hours) on behalf of The Department of Energy (DOE), Hanford Site, Assistant Manager for Safety and Quality (AMSQ), Nuclear Safety Division (NSD) as part of ProSidian Hanford General Support Services Contract (GSSC). The Safety Basis Review Subject Matter Expert (SME) will have responsibility for the execution of the work scope below: SCOPE Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) on the ORP Safety Basis Review Team and (SBRT) Assist the Safety Basis Review Team and (SBRT) Leader in the role of expert reviewer during DOE’s review and comment resolution of the Hazard Analysis (HA), Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA), Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) development and PDSA changes performed, and other supporting documents to meet Hanford safety basis needs. The SME will provide review capabilities in support of DSA revisions and DSA supporting documents. These DSA activities are to be reviewed to follow WTP procedures and similarly aligned with other Government agency regulations or procedures. The SME review is particularly important to provide sufficient technical bases for eventual DOE approval of the WTP DSAs in DOE Safety Evaluation Reports (SERs).
