The Environment, Safety & Health (ES&H) Directorate has an opening for a Safety Basis Analyst to support implementation of 10 CFR 830, Subpart B, and other Department of Energy (DOE) and LLNL requirements at Hazard Category 2/3 nuclear facilities and Less-Than-Hazard-Category-3 facilities containing radiological, chemical, and explosive hazards. You will bring a range of experience in hazard and accident analysis for nuclear, radiological, chemical, waste storage, and explosive facilities. You will also work independently on tasks while interacting with management, both internal and external to the Laboratory. This position is in the Safety Basis Division within the Environment Safety and Health (ES&H) Associate Directorate. This position may offer a hybrid schedule, which includes the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week, after a probationary period. The specifics of the hybrid schedule, including the exact number of days required in the office and virtual work options may vary based on the needs of the team and the organization.
