About The Position

The Safety, Environmental and Training Supervisor will be responsible for providing guidance on MA health, safety, security, and training policies and SOPs in addition to any legislation as may be set by the relevant Country of operation. Ensure through definitive methods that product meets or exceeds quality standards set forth; ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to an efficient operation, while projecting a professional image for Menzies Aviation.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must possess and maintain valid US driver's license
• Must pass all pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision test, audio test, and drug test
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
• Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require lifting and moving up to 70lbs
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Must pass background check and obtain US Custom seal as required
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months experience as an Operations Agent
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
• Competent in handling difficult situations
• Advanced Computer Skills
• Prior Airline or Compliance experience required

Responsibilities

• Implement applicable Menzies Aviation Policies and Procedures
• Provide timely regional management reports, weekly and monthly as required
• Oversee training activities in the station
• Plan and coordinate the implementation of safety and security priorities within the station with the General Manager
• Take a proactive approach in addressing local training implementation with the training team
• Adhere to Menzies training policies as defined in the company Learning Development Policy
• Assist Manager with driving corporate safety and security programs
• Provide guidance and support to operational management on matters of safety and security
• Develop policy and procedures through hazard identification and risk control
• Proactively promote a ‘safety first' culture
• Support the field operation to introduce safe and secure working procedures and proactively audit daily inspections and audits program
• Establish and support Health and Safety Committee
• Manage accident and incident reporting and investigation
• Prepare for and take part in audits conducted by airlines and regulatory agencies
• Lead regulatory compliance review, including Hazardous Materials permits and handling
• Manage underground storage tank regulatory compliance, including annual submittals and inspections
• Liaise with the Airport Environmental team to coordinate training and inspections required for compliance
• Manage hazardous waste manifests and coordinate pickup within regulatory guidelines
• Prepare and manage OSHA 300 logs/injury reports and EPA Tier II chemical inventory reports
• Maintain GHS and hazard communication information for all employees
• Prepare and manage annual storm- and waste-water reports
• Prepare and conduct Emergency Facility Response and confined space rescue training drills
• Develop, review, evaluate site specific EHS training procedures
• Investigate all hazards and risks across the operations and implement corrective actions
• Track, measure, analyze EHS performances and implement corrective/preventative actions
• Facilitate the distribution of network safety and security alerts
• Report any significant deficiency in products, processes, materials and/or documents
• Suggest improvements to working practices especially those relating to safety and security
• Conduct the duties of an auditor as described in the Quality Assurance Manual
• Assist with Operational Manuals to remain current
• Other duties as assigned
