About The Position

Join Meyer and train, protect, and inspire our team The Safety & Training Specialist is responsible for training new and existing warehouse employees on job duties, safety procedures, and essential skills. Serves as a key safety contact, supporting the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs. This role helps maintain OSHA compliance, manages required safety documentation, and contributes to building and strengthening company safety initiatives. Hourly Rate and Schedule: Starting at $20.00 per hour, based on experience Stable schedule: 5-day work week ~40 hours Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (start/end time may vary based on coverage and business needs) Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Business or related field preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in safety or related field, or degree in risk management/safety preferred Active First Aid certification and OSHA 30-hour course completion preferred Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish fluency required) Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations Proficient with office equipment and computers Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload Excellent presentation, planning, organizing, and follow-up skills Demonstrated leadership and adaptability in dynamic environments Commitment to quality, dependability, and maintaining confidentiality Exceptional oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels Positive attitude and professional demeanor Benefits & Other Incentives: Medical with HSA option Dental Vision Disability Life Insurance 401K with Company Match Early Pay Opportunities Paid Holidays Paid Vacation AND Personal Time Employee Discount Steel-Toe Footwear Annual Allowance Other Meyer Perks: cell phone discounts, rental car discounts, etc. Stable employment at a growing company that offers advancement opportunities & More! Duties include but are not limited to: Promote and enforce workplace safety across Jasper facilities Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards Lead and support safety training initiatives for employees and management Collaborate with team members and leadership to maintain a safe work environment Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions Support proper use and compliance of personal protective equipment (PPE) Oversee Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification and training records Maintain an active, hands-on presence on the warehouse floor Communicate effectively with employees at all levels Drive continuous improvement in safety practices and culture About Us: Meyer is a growing, family-owned, and operated company where you are more than an employee number, you’re family! Requirements
