About The Position

The position involves ensuring the safety of patrons, staff, vendors, and participants at events and facilities. Responsibilities include touring the premises, handling disturbances, writing incident reports, assisting with crowd control, and responding to emergencies. The role requires professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and patrons. Extended and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be necessary.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D.; some college preferred.
• 1 year security experience preferred but not necessary; training can be provided.
• Valid driver's license or state ID required.
• Ability to handle conflicts and make decisions during high tension situations.
• Meet physical demands including mobility, lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, and exposure to moderate to loud noises.
• Computer skills including knowledge of Windows 2000, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Tour post periodically to ensure the safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, and others on premises.
• Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during an event or at the facility.
• Escort disruptive individuals to the security office and/or off the premises if necessary.
• Write incident reports and meet with security lead to review procedures.
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
• Assist with crowd control inside and outside of premises when necessary.
• Control unusual circumstances and events during emergencies.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations, answer alarms, and investigate disturbances.
• Act professionally with clients, employees, patrons, and others.
• Ensure every client, patron, and vendor receives the best service possible.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
