Safety and Security Officer
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for participants of our Safe Exchange program while demonstrating professionalism and sensitivity to their unique situations. A Day in the Life This Security Officer position will oversee the safe and secure exchange of children between parents, acting as a neutral and supportive presence. Your attentiveness and respect for each family’s needs will help foster a safe environment where families feel valued and supported. You will also support the safety of our campus and well-being of all our residents and guests. Schedule Monday and Wednesday; 5pm-9pm Friday; 4pm-8pm Saturday; 10am-6pm Sunday; 12pm-8pm How This Position Contributes to Our Mission Supervise the safe exchange of children between family members, ensuring all interactions are conducted with care and professionalism. Document exchanges promptly and ensure all information is accurate. Protect the privacy of all family information in accordance with organizational and legal standards. Provide a safe and welcoming environment for children and families who utilize the Safe Exchange program.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Requires extended amounts of standing and walking, with occasional lifting and carrying of young children.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial to effectively interact with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Nice To Haves
- Willingness to gain knowledge in the field of domestic violence, with experience in this area being highly preferred.
